My friend Judy and I spent some time at Ocean Beach in San Diego and as we were walking back to our car we noticed a front lawn with quite a few cacti! :)

Later in the afternoon, we visited Cabrillo National Monument, situated at the end of a peninsula with grand views of the city of San Diego, the bay and the Pacific Ocean. Here is one photo of a prickl pear with a Cabrillo statue in the background.
