I was walking along F Street in Salida,
a city of about 15,000 people in Chaffee County, Colorado,
when I spotted a patch of prickly pear cacti along the sidewalk. Look at them!
I know some varieties of cacti grow naturally in
the high desert areas of Colorado, but any time I see them, I make a big deal of it. Fortunately I had my camera with me to
snap some photos. |
