Check out this funky cactus! :)

This is a Pincushion Cactus, with the official name being "Mammillaria." I actually had to hold the pot so it would not fall onto the other cacti.

Now is it just me? Or does this cactus no necessarily resemble some kind of a pin cushion? I totally understand the Disco Cactus, Gray Old Man Cactus and the Rat Tail Cactus, but the Pincushion Cactus? Hmmmmmmmmm!

Anyway, I took this photo at the Manitou Cactus Shop in Manitou Springs, Colorado. And wow, I think $4 for this pincushion cactus sounds like a good deal. (No, I did not buy it ... I'm cheap!)
