I found these beside a mountain bike trail by Wilson Lake on a hike. Now Kansas is not particularly known as a desert oasis for cacti, but many would be surprised to occasionally find cactus like that in Kansas. There are actually some prickly pear cacti that can be found out here too in the Wilson, Kansas area. And no, nobody kissed it! :)
