I am going to see if I can keep a cactus alive beings I have the touch of death to any other living plant.....what is a good one for inside that doesn't need a whole lot of sunlight? _________________ Brandi |

| Not sure if there is a cactus that does well indoors. You could plant an Escobaria, Pediocactus or Prickly Pear in your yard. There are types that grow in your region and can survive the winters. |

Yeah I think you should try some prickly pears, and escobrias. Maybe some yuccas.

I had a nice suprise at work today.......I had said something about cactus for my office the other day and my staff pitched in and got me this...I have no idea what any of these are...help me name them please. (I had to bring them home to take pics. They kind of frown on bringing cameras to work)

I like that too. Here's something to go on. Maybe someone can chime in if I'm off.

| Just water them once a month and get the soil damp, not soaked. Do it in the mornings rather than at night. Root rot is always a killer of cactus. Just put them on a table near a window. |

I compromised and made it my background on my computer at work. Now a load of sand and some rocks and I'll have some real ambience going . _________________ Brandi |

Haha....maybe I will take the "night" desert ambience. I will leave the lights off and take the small heat lamp!
I gotta consider room here....my office is the size of a prison cell (a small one) complete with bars on the windows!
Not sure if that is to keep someone else out or keep me in! _________________ Brandi |

| That's not healthy! At least you have windows though. I spent years working in a plant where there were no windows! |

I can sympathize with that, my last office was a desk in the corner of a storeroom with ER supplies all around me. No windows...it felt kind of like a cave. I believe people are like plants...we need air and sunlight! _________________ Brandi |
